Hello all,

Till now we've been rather quiet on the issue, but PeacefulCraft's 7th birthday is nearly upon us! The server officially went online the evening of Friday, October 12th, 2012, which makes this coming Saturday the special day.

The whole journey has been full of twists, turns, ups and downs - this last year has been especially eventful. There have been drastic server changes which brought in significant server growth. To those of you who have only joined us recently; welcome. We hope you like what you've seen so far and continue to help us cultivate a friendly, supportive, and inclusive community that we can all enjoy. To those of you who have returned or stuck with us through all the rough patches, we'd like to take a moment to extend a special thanks to you. It's our regular community members that really keep the server going. When new users join and members of the community reach out with welcoming messages in chat, helpful tips with commands, or even taking them under your wing and inviting them to your town, that leaves a positive impression. Active chats, community centers like the mall, and memorable experiences like a quick game of Trench are the things that foster friendships and keep people coming back. The staff play a small part in facilitating that environment, but fundamentally it comes from our user base. So thank you to everyone who has helped us build up this community to where it stands now.

Now, onto the festivities. To celebrate 7 years of PCN, all voting rewards have been temporary raised to $7,000. The "subsidized" community messaging (welcome, wb, etc), will also reward you with $7 instead of the usual $1. You also get to appreciate the irony that exists between this incentive and the above message.

Second and most exciting, the long awaited release of Minigames. Our development team recently found a work around that fixed some version compatibility issues with one of our central plugins. With this obstacle gone, we've begun putting the finishing touches on the server and have committed to having them done by Saturday evening. We anticipate launch at around 7pm EST. At launch, the following Minigames should be functional:

5 Mazes
3 Parkour Courses
4 Mob Arenas
3 Spleef Arenas
1 Bed Wars Arena
King of The Ladder
Fight Club

Through playing these games, you'll earn in game points that can go towards ranking up to access more commands, or purchasing premium classes for Mob Arena and TrenchPvP.

We have plans to expand our selection to include more arenas and game modes. Should you have specific ideas or improvements you'd like to see us try, post them in the Discord #ideas channel, or on our forum. We won't be able to get to them before the launch, but we'll try to look at them soon after.
